Born in Memphis, Tennessee—Cameron Avery, or “Cam,” is a brand strategist, marketing consultant, and creative leader. His goal is to produce, direct, and curate stories designed to inspire and empower—two words that have driven his career and aspirations. Cameron aims to be a constant student of his craft, continually seeking growth in his passions of storytelling, branding, marketing, and design.

Cameron graduated cum laude from Harding University in 2017 with a B.B.A. in Marketing and a minor in Advertising. During his 4 years of undergrad, he was a student-athlete on the men’s soccer team, participated in several extracurricular groups—such as the American Marketing Association, Society for the Advancement of Management, Black Student Association, and the International Business Society—and also spent time studying in Italy and Germany.

Currently, Cameron is working as a Marketing Coordinator for Buffalo Jackson leading social and brand initiatives. He is also, taking the time to grow in his love of art by working on several personal projects.

Awarded a HUG Micro-Grant by Charlotte is Creative and the Charlotte chapter of Creative Mornings for his aspiring fashion label Echol Street. HUG Grants are provided to Charlotte-specific projects as a helpful and unfettered gift to help push their creative endeavors.


Facebook’s National Community Boost event stopped at the Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte, NC to present small business owners the opportunity to learn from industry experts. I was asked to participate in Facebook’s main panel of local leaders to discuss and answer questions on best practices of utilizing the Facebook platform as a small business.
